A woman’s life was recently lost in a tragic motor vehicle collision. In addition, her 10-year-old son suffered critical injuries in the collision. The man believed to have caused the crash while attempting to evade police now faces criminal charges in connection with the accident.
How the accident reportedly occurred
The unfortunate collision took place at about 3:30 p.m. According to authorities, a 28-year-old woman was driving her son through an intersection when another car suddenly struck their automobile. The woman passed away at the crash scene, whereas her son was taken to a medical center with serious injuries. Another car was also struck in the crash, with the driver of that car suffering minor injuries.
Authorities said the driver who allegedly caused the crash was trying to get away from authorities following a police stop that occurred not long before the collision.
